Confessions of a Boudoir Session

Throughout the year I will post a link for a chance for YOU to be featured on the blog. This is a great way to hope others feel at ease about a session and see how it changed you as well. 

Fallon came into the studio and had this very strong presence about her. It all made sense when I learned she was law enforcement. I find these women extremely powerful and in awe of what they do everyday to help the lives of so many they do not even know. 

When I read her testimonial in her blog contact I was so moved that I made her feel so comfortable, and so at ease with her session. But I was SHOCKED to find out she had any confidence issues in her appearance. She is a gorgeous woman inside and out. 

 

What made you decide to have a boudoir session?

I decided to have a boudoir session to dig out the confidence I carried within myself in my profession, but felt I lacked the confidence in my appearance that my husband screamed about daily.. Boy did that happen!! 

Was this for a milestone in your life? If so what?

I had worked VERY hard to get into shape and land my dream job as a Police Officer.. My session was just after my 2 year mark and a couple of months after marrying my soul mate. I felt it was time to do something for ME!

How did you feel before your session?

I lacked a self confidence about my appearance that I felt would hold me back from capturing the pictures I had In my head.So to say I was nervous would be a complete understatement. 

How did you feel during your session?

My session was amazing. Words can not express how confident and empowered you feel during and afterwards. 

How did you feel after your session

We as woman wear many hats during a single day.. My session showed me how I can be a woman in a predominantly male profession, wearing an unflattering uniform. Yet I can change hats and turn into a classy, confident woman, Mom and wife!! 

How did the studio make you feel about your experience?

The studio is beautiful!! I forgot I was inside a corner shop in my own town! The studio is so welcoming and private. I never had a concern about anyone interrupting my session. 

What would you like to tell other people who are thinking about having a boudoir session 

I believe this is an experience all woman at sometime should experience for themselves. Nothing I have ever done has made me look at myself and go WOW, like a boudoir session!

 

 

Wedding Surprise!

Not only will it be a great surprise but also a way to start your new journey with the empowering self image that is inside of you but might need a little boost!

Turning Nerves into Confidence at the Downtown Boudoir Studio

I love meeting new clients! A few weeks ago Samantha came in for a wedding anniversary gift after seeing others in my VIP group share their images.

She wrote about her experience at the studio and I wanted to share it with everyone to help anyone who wonders what a session could do for them!  (she gave permission:) 

Before her session she said she felt nervous because of body confidence issues. "I have turned 30 and had a child, so I am definitely not in the best shape of my life." 

During her session she wrote that she felt relaxed and confident. "Having my make up and hair done definitely made me feel better and Jennifer assured me that each pose was "beautiful. The studio felt very appropriate. The props and layout were perfect and made me excited to see the outcome. " 

What would you like to tell other people who are thinking about having a boudoir session 

"I would tell people to go for it! You will not be disappointed."

Documenting Thirty Boudoir Style

I recently asked my clients if they would want to blog about their experience at the studio and the reasons behind why they decided to do a boudoir session. The JT Noir Studios, located in Palatka Florida, has been told to me to be a beautiful addition over the years to the downtown area. I take pride in decorating the front store space with a classy, tasteful decor, along with a rich representation of my work. 

What many do not know is what happens behind those double doors. Some may think it could be scandalous, some may think it is downright dirty once someone walks into my studio. Thankfully I have never heard anyone say this, but I assume someone must not not my work (I know I am sure cool but not everyone is going to love me:) 

BUT the best part about the mystery is that what happens the moment you step beyond those doors is not what you gain, but what you leave behind. You leave behind the pressure of society to be a certain look. You leave behind the constraints of feeling it is vain to love yourself. And most importantly you leave behind any insecurities that may linger in your mind. 

When Courtney booked her consult to celebrate her 30th birthday I was very excited! I have known her for many years just around town, or even on facebook land but never truly knew her in person. She came in saying she was nervous but later told me that I made her feel "at home".  She wrote " I did not feel pushed to do anything I was not comfortable with and it came more natural than I thought it did. Jennifer was very patient and had so many creative ideas to go along with what I wanted" 

She went on further to mention that anyone thinking of doing a session "you should absolutely do it!" It brought out a side she wrote that she did not even know she had.  Her words to describe the studio and her experience said it all.

A Boudoir Testimonial; Confidence, Safety and Looking HOT!

Marcy came to her session after seeing so many other clients in the private forum of the studio. She came in with the intentions to shoot for her husband but left with a confidence she didn't know would come from it. After leaving with her amazing albums from the Palate Studio, I asked how she felt about her experience. 

"Not one time did I feel uncomfortable which was surprising and such a a relief considering the intimacy of the shoot with someone you have just met. Jennifer guided me through the entire shoot and knew exactly what position needed to be shot to make my body look its best in the photos" Marcy wrote in a testimonial. 

She was so excited to see her images but it was so hard keeping them a secret she told me. "Jennifer's decor and talent made the photos look like something out of a magazine" She also noted the safety she felt during the shoot. " The studio is also very private and has a locked door during the shoot so no unexpected visitors can walk in mid-shoot" I take pride in knowing my clients' images are safe with me but also during the shoot as well. I lock all doors and have even been known to help you up on the piano, assist with your garter belts and even string up corsets! 

The studio is a fun carefree environment and I was so glad to read Marcy's testimonial knowing she felt this experience was just what I hoped to have given!
